What Information We Collect

If you use our Contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message, solely so we can read and respond to you.

If you submit a friction through our Submission form, we collect the observation you choose to share. Submissions are not published automatically; we review them first.

Both forms are run by Formspree, an outside form service. When you press Send, what you typed goes to Formspree, which emails it to us and keeps a copy in our Formspree account. Formspree's own privacy policy also applies.

We do not use cookies, tracking scripts, or third-party analytics on Friction Journal at this time.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide only to respond to your message, or to consider your submission for inclusion in the Friction Library. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Content You Submit

If a friction you submit is published in our Library, you retain ownership of your words. By submitting, you give Friction Journal permission to display your observation on the platform, so that it can help innovators, researchers, and the wider community understand real-world problems.

We ask that submissions describe genuine, real-world observations, written respectfully and honestly. We reserve the right to review submissions before they are published.

Your Rights

You may ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it. You can reach us anytime through our Contact page.

Changes to This Policy

As Friction Journal grows, this page will be updated to reflect new features, such as user accounts or community discussion tools. We will always aim to keep this page clear, honest, and easy to understand.
